Hearthboard 1.5 is here, and I've been so excited to show you this one. It's the biggest change to how Hearthboard looks since it began.
THREE LOOKS
Pick the look that fits your home: Cards, with each widget on its own card; Material, with widgets set straight on one calm color; or Glass, frosted glass over your own photos. Already using Hearthboard? Tap a look in What's New to try it on your own board. Nothing changes until you keep it, and Settings › Appearance has them any time.
THE HOME BOARD
Your photos fill the top of the screen, with the time set behind the people in them, over a shelf of three widgets. Write your family's name or a birthday there instead of the time if you like. Everyone now starts with a Home Board and a Grid Board, a swipe apart.
ALSO NEW
• Readable from across the room: when no one is close, the time, the weather, your calendar and your lists get big.
• Music shows what's playing on your iPad, with the song's progress and AirPlay right on the widget.
• Long reminders, shopping items and chores wrap onto a second line instead of being cut off.
• Photos, album art and camera pictures dim with the board at night.
• A quicker setup that gets your own calendar, weather and lists on the board in a minute.
• Plenty of fixes and polish throughout.
