Repeated alerts from the same camera are grouped into one row, so a busy evening reads as a few entries instead of dozens. Explore offers a broader event library to filter and inspect. Utara shows what Frigate actually recorded and marks unavailable media clearly.

FOLLOW THE TIMELINE
Scrub recordings across cameras on a shared timeline and see each moment as you drag. Jump to a date and time, narrow the view by camera or label, and move from marked activity into playback without hunting through separate feeds.

SEARCH AND SAVE
Explore detected events by camera, object, zone, and time, and save a useful clip as an export. With Utara+, Motion Search scans a region and time range for movement on compatible servers, and Cases keep the footage from one incident together.

See camera status, Frigate health, performance, and storage in one place, and read Frigate's logs without leaving the app. Get notifications for people and alerts while Utara is running; Utara+ adds camera health alerts.

MADE FOR THE MAC
Native windows, menus, keyboard commands, sidebars, and inspectors. Keep a quick glance in the menu bar, give cameras the names you use at home, and automate with Shortcuts such as Open Camera Group and Get Latest Detection. BUILT AROUND YOUR FOOTAGE
Camera video, events, and credentials are handled for your connection to your Frigate server; credentials and access tokens are stored in the Mac Keychain. No separate developer account is required. Optional on-device analysis uses local Mac frameworks where available. The microphone is used only while you talk through a doorbell. Your Frigate server controls recording, retention, detections, and the cameras you can access.

FREE CORE, OPTIONAL UTARA+
Live cameras, zoom, doorbell talk, Review, Timeline, System health and logs, one saved server, snapshots, individual exports, Shortcuts, and basic notifications are in the core app. Utara+ is a one-time in-app purchase for Motion Search, saved search presets, Chat, activity summaries, Cases, configuration profiles, face recognition management, multiple servers, automatic home/away address switching, and camera health alerts. Some features require Frigate 0.18 or later, a suitably configured server, and account permissions. Doorbell talk requires two-way audio set up in Frigate. Chat requires a GenAI provider configured in Frigate.

Frigate must be installed and reachable from your Mac to display your own cameras.
